I received my Bachelor’s in Web Design and Interactive Media at the Art Institute of California-Orange County in December of 2007. I knew this was the field I wanted to get into when I found myself looking up the source codes of the websites I visited--for fun. There is a term for this as I came to discover later on, and that is "Deconstruction."

This is my portfolio site, and as you may have noticed, it’s dedicated to Deconstruction because it got me where I am today. Deconstruction had taken on various meanings since the French philosopher, Jacques Derrida, coined it in the 60’s, but I my peers and I have redefined it in the web design industry, to mean “taking things apart” to learn how the different parts work. Then only to put these various parts together again to create a synthesis that will amount to more than the sum of the parts when they interact with each other.

I see how this philosophy has become the backbone of my work. I've discovered that I can help the creative individual express themselves by deconstructing their ideas and rebuilding it into new media such as web design/development, interactive design, and video/motion graphics. Together, my skills and their ideas will become this wonderful synthesis.

Also, I think it's worth mentioning that I once jumped on a pogostick 1000 times without falling off.
