Angels of Love, which began in 1997, is dedicated to providing encouragement, hope, love, peace, and comfort to people in difficult circumstances – whether grieving the loss of a family member or suffering from a serious illness, disability, or tragedy.
These artistic, stained glass Angels take approximately two to three hours to make and are encased in 24-carat gold. They are freely given and never sold. Over 10,000 angels have been given to hurting people since 1997.
Their beauty is matched only by the golden hearts of the volunteers who make these Angels possible by donating time, talent, and material resources to the Angels of Love.

"When we gave all the patients their angels the look on their faces was priceless. I can still imagine how happy their faces were, and it made me smile too. It's still hard for me to believe how many people are affected by this disease, and how many people, despite laying on their death bed, still have so much hope. I would be so helpless if one of my family members were to catch this disease and get sick. It makes me sympathize with all those people who are sick with cancer and their family members. One of the patients I remember most clearly was a woman who was bald, thin, unhealthy, lacking eyebrows, eye lashes and was very extremely pale and sickly. In spite of her deathly appearance she was a very deathly appearance she was a very beautiful woman. When I gave her the angel she accepted it with gratitude and even though she was so weak and ill she put so much energy into thanking me for it. She was very happy despite the weakness cancer has brought into her life."

"The first person my group gave the angel to started crying and I felt like crying too, but I remembered that they told us not to cry in front of them. After I finished handing out all of my angels I felt great because there were so many people that you know you helped make their day a little bit better. I remember the last angel I gave to a little girl and her father was in the room with her and he looked so happy that we gave her that. He didn't say anything but I could see it in his eyes that he was extremely thankful. I felt like I made a big difference because people in there are living sad lives at the moment but once we gave them their angels they looked more happy then they were before. I think the angels gave them inspiration to believe that everything is going to be alright."
